I made it as simple as possible by putting the invoice In the freight box and they destroy the freight box to obtain the invoice, couldn't provide another one and were extremely hesitant to swap over the part which was brand new unused un opened. "I have never had a great deal of luck with this place. This is an example of the apathy that occurs when you get too big and have a customer base large enough that you don't need to care too much. They are on ebay and the last couple of enquiries I have made through the ebay messaging system have not been much joy. The one before last took around four days before they answered and the reply was lacking in much help or interest, certainly no courtesy which is pretty common these days anyway, from people and companies alike. So I didn't buy that item and went elsewhere. Then, the last enquiry I made was 10 days ago, regarding a single valve retainer which can be sold individually. Their price was great, the lowest I had seen so far, but the postage was incredible. They wanted around $14.30 to post this small item (by Standard Aust Post) which coud easily be sent in a Large Letter format for around $3 to $5 ! So I sent them a message telling them about this and asking if they could set the postage to a more fairer value. I even sent a screen shot of their listing. So far, after 10 days they haven't bothered to reply. I went elsewhere for the part. Inefficient, apathetic, or rude...whatever it is, it's not good enough. Unlike Rolan Australa... they also had one and were quick to answer my enquiry and sent me a link as well as a courteous follow-up message. Needless to say, I have done lots of business with Rolan over the years and hardly any with VPW. A few years ago I bought an expensive item from VPW Aust, an Eaton Tru-Trac diff centre assembly. After talking to someone else who had one who advised me of the manufacture quality issues, I tested it and got some opinions from diff places and found this one to be defective. So I put in a return/refund request to VPW and found their customer service communication was quite dismal and certainly didn't inspire much confidence . They were slow to respond most times and then only with lazy short sentences - very little interest or intelligence shown by them. So it was a nail-biting 11 days hoping for the nearly $1000 refund to be processed. I feel fortunate that it went through."
